Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"It's a small cozy place managed by 2 very nice persons, the owner who is also the cook and a servant. Food was good, but the best thing was the dessert with pistacchio. It was very delicious and never tasted anything close to it. The flavor of the pistacchio was very intense and delicious."
"The swordfish was really delicious,as well the fried fish. The quality of the quality of the service is good. The prices are average. Something that I really like is that they take care all the precautions for the covid19,they measure they temperature and have certain protocols to make you feel safety."
"American here… speak zero Italian, stopped in here while waiting for a flight. Best food, wine and my server was amazing. I let him pick my entrees.. since he spoke no English and I spoke no Italian.. we got along just fine!! He let me try some local favorites and kept my vino glass full. Made a “rude American” tourist feel welcome!! Would recommend!!!"
"Superb ! Good choose of wine and wonderful food. Pricing reasonable. Four star to atmosphere a bit noisy ,but it is Rome"
"It was raining my last night in Italy and I had booked a B&B relatively close to the airport. This restaurant was within a block so it was going to have to work. I was pleasantly surprised. Although I arrived at 7:30 or so and the waiter informed me the kitchen wasn't open until 8:00, he seated me, got my drink order (only 7Euro for a bottle of wine), and set me up for the evening. I don't recall what the exact name of the dish was, but it was the best seafood dinner I had after 2 weeks in Italy (see attached pic). WIth a side of spinach and the wine it was perfect. Loved the whole experience from the value to the service to the food."
"One waiter spoke English, and I was by myself, which isn't unusual for me, but I felt totally lost in this place. The waiter guided me through the menu, and soon I forgot about how awkward and alien I felt. I soon lost myself in the food. It was all perfect. I had two bottles of their chardonnay and woke the next day with a clear head. It's a meal I will not soon forget--each piece hit exactly the right note. My thanks to the house for accommodating me."
"We stopped in here for our last dinner in Italy and it was the perfect place to end our trip the tasting menu was delicious and the seafood was also fantastic. Definitely give this place a try."
"This restaurant was in my top 3 favorites for our trip to Italy. We were staying in a nearby B&B and our host recommended this place. It did not open until 8pm and we had and early flight out the next morning, but it was totally worth a bit of sleep deprivation! We walked by around 7:30pm and got a table reserved before heading out for an evening stroll through the neighborhood. The tasting menu was recommended to us and it did not disappoint!! 11 small plates total! Our favorites I recall were the filleted sea bass & tuna tartare, but each one was delicious and had unique flavors and use of herbs & spices that were excellent. They served it with assorted breads that were so good, we had to remind each other not to fill our stomachs too much! Finally, we ordered the house white wine which was excellent, and only 7 euro for a bottle! When our pasta selections arrived (spaghetti vongole & a ravioli) we were only able to eat a few bites. What an excellent last meal in Italy! We will be dreaming of it back in the U.S."
